Take a walk and don`t worry as it`s quite peaceful. Now that you have received your payment, talk to Dino again to see if you can leave the area and you will be asked if you are willing to continue. It looks like Mister Coin-Tosser didn`t lie after all. Returning from the pier, you will be stopped by a journalist named Dino, who recognizes Prince Noctis.
Dino, who is apparently an Italian from New York, decides to blackmail you – you do him a favor, and he won`t blow up your cover. Of course, he gives you a good reason to reject it, because, as he points out, Noctis and his friends haven`t done a very good job from the beginning to keep a low profile, and there`s no explanation as to why it`s a problem now. Express your opinion south around the bird and loot the gemstone deposit to get a garnet stone – barely a gem worthy of a prince`s time – then return to the badge and return to Galdin Quay. Talk to Dino and give him the stone and he will reward you by giving you a pomegranate bracelet, as well as information about the type of coin that was thrown at you. Return to the car and chat with Dino, who will give you a pomegranate bracelet. You can mention the document you received from abroad. As a thank you, Dino will get you a seat on the ferry. Take care of everything you want in the area and rest for an XP boost. Once you have a fish in your possession, return to the cat, which is not satisfied with what you brought with you. If you want a quest reward, you need to pamper the animal. Return to the station on the platform and talk to the lady from the mother-of-pearl restaurant and waste her time helping you by turning one of your Trevally nets into « Coctura`s Cat Food ». Now that you have freshly caught fish prepared by a high-end professional chef, return to the cat for your quest reward. A gentlemen`s agreement introduces another important NPC called Dino. This morning, I finished Dino`s quest at Galdin Wharf, where you have to get him a grenade as you pass this huge bird right in front of the dock. There seems to be an insect where, once you pick up the garnet and go further south (towards the cliff, away from the bird), you fall into this area where you are trapped at the edge of the cliff and cannot move inland or out of the cliff. Also includes deformations. Keep in mind that if you agree, you`ll trigger the last main quest of the first act, which isn`t as easy as you think. When it comes to general exploration, there isn`t too much lying around. From the outpost of Galdin Quay (the part on the beach, not the resort), you`ll find a treasure spot to the southeast and another to the northwest, giving a starry shell and a fencer`s ankle respectively. Further along the beach to the west you will find the Lachyrte Harbour, if you want to camp somewhere, while along the beach south of Galdin Quay you will find another fishing spot – Galdin Shoals.
When you`ve done as much research as you`d like, it`s time to turn your attention to this issue of blackmail. Go back to the car and talk to Dino. He will reward you for your efforts with a free grenade bracelet and mention that the coin you received from this stranger comes from the Imperials of Niflheim. Interesting. True to his word, Dino also guarantees you a spot on the next ferry – so if you`ve done everything you want in this area for now, it`s time to set sail.. .
